It's likely you're here because you have tried so many times to 'fix' your situation. Perhaps, like so many, you didn't choose all that you are going through right now. I was no different. Honestly, I felt broken. Here's the thing, I wasn't broken and neither are you.
I have a profound appreciation for the challenges and intricacies inherent in life and relationships. My passion lies in supporting individuals and couples as they navigate through times of disconnection, fostering healthier, more fulfilling connections.
In this therapeutic journey, my commitment is to be a companion on your voyage, helping you navigate the turbulent waters and discover the courage to face the challenges ahead. Together, we can embark on a transformative exploration, finding solace in the process of growth, understanding, and self-discovery.

I look forward to joining you on this profound journey towards healing and flourishing. The hardest thing you will do in therapy is make the choice to grow through what you are going through.

yours,
Aundrea
Hello and Welcome!
About Longleaf Counseling
rooted
(noun)
very strong and firmly fixed
remarkable
(adj.)
worthy of being
resilient
(adj.)
the ability to move through and grow from difficult times.
Longleaf's story is YOUR story.
In the heart of a vast forest, where the sunlight danced through the canopy, stood a longleaf pine named Tilly. Tilly was not like all the other trees; she was resilient, much like a human who has faced many trials and emerged stronger for it.

Tilly's resilience stemmed from her adaptation to fire, a unique trait of longleaf pines. Just as Tilly's deep growth began underground, hidden from view, so too does the resilience of some humans, forged in the depths of their struggles.

Tilly thrived in the complex, interdependent dance of the longleaf ecosystem. She understood the importance of working together, just as resilient humans lean on their communities for support and strength.

In times of adversity, Tilly stood tall, her needles reaching for the sky, a testament to the power of perseverance. She was a beacon of hope, much like the humans who inspire others with their unwavering spirit and hope.

Tilly's story is a reminder that, like the longleaf pine, you can adapt, grow, and thrive in the face of adversity, finding strength in the interdependence and resilience of a trusted community.
my approach
My approach to therapy reflects who I am as a person: compassionate, down-to-earth, curious, and relatable. As an integrative therapist, I focus on patterns of relating, believing the past, present, and future are inseparable. Because of that, I consider your whole life, not just the parts related to your immediate concerns. While therapy is often more of an art than science, I am informed by research in neuroscience and trauma-focused. Finally, I believe strongly in the practice of self-compassion and shame resiliency.

I am passionate about collaboratively supporting you to discover a deeper, more genuine experience of yourself. You can expect me to listen to hear (rather than to speak), guide, empower, and, yes, even challenge you to go beneath what appears on the surface.

Each part of you deserves to be heard and every chapter of your life explored. Your life is truly worthy of being remarkable.
